Best Chicco Full-Size Strollers

Chicco makes several full-size strollers, and the absolute best options are the Bravo Air Quick-Fold, Bravo LE Quick-Fold, and the Viaro Quick-Fold strollers. Each of these options provides different key features ready to improve your life with a baby. Let’s take a closer look at these three options.

Both of these strollers are compatible with the Chicco KeyFit and Fit2 car seats, hold up to 50 lbs, offer quick fold, and are rated 4.8 stars among Amazon shoppers.  The biggest difference between these two strollers is that the more expensive Chicco Bravo is a 4 wheeled traditional stroller with an adjustable handle; whereas the less expensive Chicco Viaro has 4 wheels but is designed with a 3 wheel jogging stroller design without an adjustable handle.

Chicco Bravo Air Quick-Fold Stroller

Quality
Popularity

Not only is the Bravo Air affordable but it comes with all the features you want. However, you don’t get color options as the stroller comes in just a single color blend of gray and black. Despite this single limitation, this stroller is ready to improve your life with a baby.

Convertible

The first feature you will love about the Bravo Air is that it converts to a frame stroller to hold an infant car seat. With this feature, you can save money as you don’t need to buy a separate car seat frame stroller making this a fabulous option.

To use the stroller with the car seat, simply remove the seat and backrest in one fell swoop. The canopy comes off with the other parts leaving you with a lightweight frame carrier. Now add in the right car seat, and you are good to go.

Once your child is ready to move out of the car seat and into a stroller, reattach the seat and backrest easily. It’s a great option for when your baby becomes too heavy to make taking the car seat effortless. Also, if you switch to a convertible car seat, you don’t need to get a new stroller.

Canopy

A canopy is an important feature of a car seat as it needs to not just block out the sun but also the world. Your baby needs to sleep and stay safe from UV rays. With this stroller, you get a three-panel extendable canopy. It also has a 3D pop-out for extra protection.

Smart Fold

When you are ready to close the stroller, the seat cushion lifts up and out folds a handle. Use the handle with just one hand to activate the folding mechanism. It simultaneously rotates the front wheels inward so the stroller can stay standing.

Now you can roll the stroller into your storage spot. Also, the folding handle works as a carry handle. Loading the stroller into your trunk is a simple job with this feature. The unique folding mechanism also prevents accidental engaging of the feature, so you don’t have to worry.

Storage Options

Not only do you get a  large basket underneath the stroller, but you also get a parent tray too. May high-end strollers expect you to buy the parent attachment separately, but that’s not so with the Chicco Bravo Air. Instead, you get a parent bar ready to hold your stuff and even a toddler tray for your child as well.

LE Model

Chicco also makes the Bravo LE Quick-Fold Stroller, and the only difference is the LE provides a reversible cushion for all-season comfort. One other small difference is a smart zippered storage pocket for parents on the handlebar. It’s a slight cost increase and gives you two fun accessories ready to improve your stroller.

Otherwise, the Bravo LE Quick-Fold Stroller is a twin to the Bravo Air.

Chicco Viaro Quick-Fold Stroller

The Viaro Quick-Fold stroller looks like a jogging stroller but still comes with two front wheels tapered for a sleek appearance. It also offers a lower cost than the other full-size Chicco models but most of the function. However, it doesn’t have an adjustable push handle like its counterparts putting it lower on the list.

Recline Positions

The Chicco Viaro comes with a cord recline for the perfect position. Simply push the knob in the back and release it to recline to your desired position. Reverse the process to sit the seat up higher for older children.

Weight

The Viaro Quick-Fold Stroller is the lightest of the full-size strollers at only eighteen pounds. While the Bravo options both weigh twenty-three pounds, you can work less with the Viaro. Thanks to a lightweight aluminum frame, you can pick this stroller up on hand using the built-in handle.

Wheels

Speaking of the wheels, they are large and make driving the stroller a breeze. The lower weight also allows the Viaro to maneuver with ease along with the tapered front wheel layout. It comes with independent locking brakes to make driving even easier.

Car Seat

While the seat doesn’t come out, the Viaro does work with all Chicco infant car seats with an attachment. You don’t need an attachment for the Chicco Keyfit as the mechanism is built-in to the stroller.

Chicco Full-Size Strollers to Avoid

Chicco Bravo Primo AirIt has all the right features but doesn’t handle well. It does convert to a frame stroller for infant car seats, folds compactly, includes a removable seat insert, standing one-hand fold, and tons of storage
Chicco Bravo Primo While this stroller comes with great features, the company is in the process of phasing it out, and it will no longer be available in the near future. If you manage to snag one, they come with a midrange price and every option conceivable. Why is Chicco saying goodbye to this stroller?

Best Chicco Double Strollers

Chicco makes three double strollers, and of the three, we love two of the options. Honestly, Chicco isn’t the best option for double strollers, and much better options exist for this category. Take a look at the two decent options and decide if it’s right for you, but only if you want the coordinating car seat.

Our two choices are both sit and stand double strollers. The Chicco BravoFor2 LE is 29.6 lbs, fits KeyFit or Fit2 infant seats, and is an Amazon choice product that does cost slightly more than the Chicco Bravo For2.  This stroller is similar in weight and works with the same car seats, but it is less expensive and is not an Amazon Choice selection.

The BravoFor2 LE Standing/Sitting Double Stroller gives you the most options and functions. We love the built-in storage, rubber tires, and many other functions but a few features stand out in the crowd. Take a look.

Car Seat Compatibility

First, the BravoFor2 LE Standing/Sitting Double Stroller accepts a car seat on the main seat. It can use either a KeyFit or Fit2 infant car seat. Even better, you don’t need an adapter to add the car seat to the frame.

Seat Type

Instead of a full-size stroller, this stroller works as a lightweight option ready to hold a child in the back in less space. It’s a fantastic sit ‘n stand stroller, ready to hold one baby and one toddler. If you have twins, this stroller isn’t going to work for you, though.

The child seat in the back allows a toddler to stand or to sit facing you. It cuts down dramatically on the amount of space needed by having a pull-out seat for the older child. Of course, in the front, you get a car seat ready for a baby or a toddler.

Weight

Another great feature of the stroller is the weight is just under thirty pounds. While you will find lighter-weight options on the list, this one holds two children. Each seat can 40 pounds each, which is less than a full-size stroller, but this one has so many more options for busy toddlers.

Folding

No stroller folds up as fast as a Chicco stroller, and this option is no exception. With one hand, you can fold the stroller down to a compact size. It even comes with a convenient handle for carrying and loading, and it stands when folded for extra ease.

One of the biggest differences between the BravoFor2 and the LE edition is the first option weighs three pounds less. Another difference is the slight price increase for the LE model.

The only other difference for the small price difference is a reversible insert for the main seat. If you don’t need the insert, you can save a few dollars to buy extra diapers.

Chicco Double Strollers to Avoid

Cortina Together Double Stroller Car seat configuration is difficult, and the front seat doesn’t recline. Also, it’s very heavy and doesn’t fit in trucks of all sedans. However, it does work for four different configurations of infant and toddler, infant and infant, two children, and car seat and child.

Best Chicco Strollers (Keyfit 30 Compatible)

Many of Chicco’s strollers work with their car seats, but two options are frames only. They only work as strollers with the car seat, and after they are obsolete, you will need another stroller. What makes these awesome is the ease of use and lightweight, compact design. Take a look and see if they are the right choice for you.

Chicco KeyFit Caddy Frame Stroller

If you want to save on weight and reduce your stroller footprint, then you need the Chicco KeyFit Caddy Frame Stroller. It’s ready to turn your infant car seat into a stroller so you can get going faster. Also, customers love the ease of use and fabulous features.

Car Seat Compatibility

The stroller frame works with all Chicco infant car seats, including the Chicco Keyfit. Install with an easy click-in attachment one move. Then you are done!

Weight

Want a sturdy frame with very low weight? You need this frame as it’s only eleven pounds! Thanks to an aluminum frame, Chicco was able to cut down on the weight making this the lightest stroller in their line.

Travel Ready

Travel anywhere with this lightweight stroller frame. It fits in any storage place and stands too. One-handled fold makes this the perfect option for airport or even home use.

Storage

Despite the compact size, you still get a parent tray. It includes two cup holders and a storage compartment. Moreover, you get a large storage basket underneath for diaper bag storage.

Handlebars

Another great feature is the handlebar adjusts to four different positions from 35.5 inches to 41.5 inches. Both tall and height-challenged parents can use this stroller with a custom fit—all with foam padding for comfort.

Chicco Frame Strollers to Avoid

Chicco Shuttle Frame StrollerThe stroller frame is very compact and works very well with all the right features. However, it weighs four pounds more than the other option. Also, the handlebars are not adjustable, which can make it difficult for many users. Add in a higher price for no noticeable difference.

Best Chicco Jogging Strollers

Chicco currently makes two jogging strollers: the Activ3 and the TRE. Both are highly rated with tons of features you will love.

First, they are both compatible with Chicco car seats. Second, they both hold up to 50 pounds. Neither of the options includes a toddler tray but does offer a parent tray.

Also, both offer the same amount of seat recline positions, leg rest, and quick fold. Of course, they come with three jogging tires for easier movement. Now let’s look at the differences so you can decide which is a better option for your needs.

The Chicco Activ3 Air is the less expensive option that is an Amazon Choice product that has foam tires and Flex Core suspension for a smooth ride; while the more costly Chicco TRE has pneumatic tires but the main seat can also be removed to put in an infant seat which makes this even more lightweight.

Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller

The Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller is the entry-level model although it’s not an entry-level price as jogging strollers in general cost more. It’s the perfect addition to help you get out and get active in any terrain. Definitely consider this jogger if you want to get on the road and start exercising.

Adjustable Suspension

A stroller cannot be all-terrain without exceptional suspension. With this option, you get foot-activated FlexCore suspension. It allows the stroller to adjust from smooth to rugged terrain with ease.

The stroller allows your child to sleep in comfort without the jarring effects of the road. You get exclusive control with a special console with hand-operated functions. Front swivel wheels are lockable from the console too.

A rear parking brake also works from the console instead of from a foot pedal. Everything is designed to make this the stroller of choice.

Canopy

What makes the canopy on this stroller exceptional is a peek-a-boo window. Even the full-size strollers by Chicco don’t have this feature. However, the window doesn’t have a cover, which means if the sun is in the wrong spot, it may cause problems.

The canopy is extra-large too. It includes a zip extension panel for more sun protection. Your baby will sleep like a dream with this canopy.

Weight

As a jogging stroller, the Activ3 is large and comes with more weight. However, it’s only 27.5 pounds, which is less than many jogger strollers. Add in the one-hand folding function with a handle, and this stroller is ready to travel.

Adjustable Handle

The Activ3 also gives you a padded handle. Adjust the height so it’s up for tall people or down for shorter parents.

Accepted Car Seats

Lastly, the Activ3 allows all Chicco infant car seats to click right in. Mind you, the regular seat stays on for easy switching to using it or not. You get more options with this car seat adaptable stroller.

Chicco TRE Jogging Stroller

Chicco TRE Jogging Stroller - Titan | Black/Grey

Popularity

The TRE Jogging Stroller costs significantly more than the Activ3 but comes with unique benefits.

Car Seat Compatibility

One of the main differences that makes this a great jogging stroller is it converts completely to a car seat frame jogging stroller. Fit any Chicco infant car seat into the stroller without the main seat compartment. That’s right, the main seat comes out completely to make the stroller lightweight and easy to maneuver.

Although, the weight of this stroller out of the box is 28.5 pounds making it a little heavy but still easy to move around.

Adjustability

The front wheel can swivel and unlock and lock from a handy parent control console on the top of the stroller. Also, the handlebar adjusts two to three different positions for three different heights. Furthermore, the suspension is adjustable by foot for either smooth or rugged terrain.

Canopy

Another great advantage of the TRE is the canopy. Not only is it extra large but also includes a zipper extension panel. Add in a flippable peek-a-boo mesh window for even more usability and you have a winner.

Dual Hand Brake

With this stroller, you get dual hand brakes. Now you can control the slowdown during activity. Moreover, parking is at your discretion as well with two separate brakes.

Tires

While the Activ3 has foam core treaded rubber tires, the TRE has air-filled treaded tires. What this means is the tires will drive better and smoother too. All the parts together work to make this an incredible stroller ready to wow anyone.

Best Chicco Lightweight Strollers

While lightweight strollers put less strain on you physically, most of them do not hold an infant car seat. Although, you will find one option on these lightweight strollers that does work with an infant car seat. All three of our top favorites also hold 50 pounds, making them great value at an affordable price.

We promised you a lightweight stroller that could support an infant car seat, and here it is – the Mini Bravo Plus Stroller. As you can guess, the Mini Bravo Plus is the fancy upgraded version. However, it’s third on the list because a small number of customers received options with faulty wheels.

Car Seat Adaptability

No need to take anything off this stroller to add in an infant car seat. It clicks right into the attachment, and off you go! The stroller works with all Chicco infant car seats.

Color Options

With this stroller, we are back to boring black and gray color schemes, we mean neutral options that blend into any setting. Seriously, many customers want a simple color scheme, and that’s okay.

Canopy

Not only do you get an extendable canopy ready to provide extra sun protection, but you also get mesh at the pull of a zipper. The mesh provides both ventilation and a peek-a-boo window to see if your child is finally sleeping. It’s the only Chicco stroller with this option.

Weight

While the average full-size stroller weighs around thirty pounds, the Mini Bravo Plus can support an infant car seat and only weighs nineteen and a half pounds. Hello, lightweight, easy-to-use stroller ready to improve the lives of parents! You don’t even have to sacrifice anything to get the low-weight as this stroller even has parent and child trays.

Chicco Piccolo Stroller

Chicco Piccolo Stroller - Carbon, Grey
Quality
Popularity

If you want a no-fuss stroller, pick the Piccolo Stroller. While it doesn’t have a parent or toddler tray, it’s the lightest stroller that isn’t a frame stroller. It’s also well received by customers and gets the job done.

Weight

Lightweight strollers should be…well, light, and this one is very light at just fourteen pounds! If you can pick up your child, you can pick up this stroller.

Recline

Many lightweight strollers don’t recline, but this one does. Pick from multiple positions with a tension-adjustable backrest. Your child can sleep comfortably in this fabulous stroller.

Canopy

Not all of Chicco’s strollers have peek-a-boo strollers, but this one does, and even better, it comes with a flap with mesh underneath. The window allows you to check if your child is asleep without making eye contact. Furthermore, the mesh helps to provide improved airflow, and it pulls out quite far to protect little eyes from harsh sun rays.

Compact

Lightweight often means compact and this definitely applies to the Piccolo Stroller. It offers a trifold design that makes it easy to carry. More importantly, it fits into small storage spaces, too, including smaller trunks.

Vented Seat

The vented seat definitely warrants a mention. Families living in warmer climates need a stroller that doesn’t add to the heat but helps to prevent kids from overheating. With this stroller, that’s exactly what you get, a stroller with airflow.

Chicco Mini Bravo Lightweight Stroller

For once, there is a stroller with more than just gray and black color options! The Mini Bravo Lightweight Stroller actually doesn’t come in dark tones but instead in tans and reds for a festive appearance. Moreover, it offers tons of value with great features and a low price.

Weight

While the Mini Bravo isn’t as light as the Piccolo, it’s under twenty pounds. At just eighteen and a half pounds, most people will have no issues picking up the stroller, especially compared to a full-sized stroller!

Folding

Like with most Chicco strollers, this one includes a standing fold and a carry handle. The quick-fold function sits under the seat to prevent accidental issues. Furthermore, you can fold the stroller down with a single hand in just seconds!

Parent Tray

To reduce weight, the stroller doesn’t come with a toddler tray, but it does include a parent tray. With two cup holders and a cutout for your phone and keys, you can leave in seconds. Store both your drink and your baby’s too!

Vented Fabrics

The Mini Bravo is ready to keep your child cool with tons of venting. It’s not just on the side of the stroller where they sit, but also on the canopy too. The back of the seat also offers mesh venting for tons of comfort, no matter the weather.

Front Swivel

Finally, the front swivel tires in the front make this stroller move easier. Turns are easier, and you can enjoy precise maneuverability, too. With EVA foam tires, the stroller moves with ease without adding weight to the stroller.

Chicco Lightweight Strollers to Avoid

Chicco LitewayThe Liteway is an umbrella stroller with a high price. Moreover, it has very little storage, unstable wheels, poor steering, and an uncomfortable seat for children.

Best Chicco Modular Strollers

Modular strollers are strollers with reversible seats. You get more options from a stroller when you can change the dynamic to better suit your needs. Chicco currently makes three modular strollers for their customers, but only two of the options are worth buying. Many parents also love the bassinet attachment of modular strollers too.

Let’s take a look at the features of the Corso Modular line.

The Chicco Corso is the less expensive choice of the two options with EVA foam tires and rear wheel suspension. However, the next step up stroller is the Chicco Corso LE, which is a high end stroller with rubber tires with foam core and treading as well as the FlexCore suspension for a smoother ride.

Chicco Corso Modular Stroller

Popularity

Both the Corso and Corso LE are modular strollers that can support all Chicco infant strollers. Both can also hold up to fifty pounds, too, making them very versatile. The Corso is the beginner model, and LE comes with more options at a higher price.

Both also offer low weights, multiple seat reclines, four-leg rest positions, and more. Let’s take a look at the benefits of the Corso first, then we can look at the fancy model.

Facing Modes

The Corso Modular Stroller is a single stroller ready to face two directions. First, you can use it in the parent-facing mode for younger babies and toddlers who want to see mom and dad. Second, change the direction of the seat to forward-facing so your child can face out into the world.

Car Seat Adaptability

Parents can remove the base of the seat in one quick move and attach a Chicco infant car seat instead. It’s the best of both worlds, a stroller ready to work as a frame for an infant car seat or as a full-blown stroller ready to tote toddlers.

Canopy

The canopy is rather amazing. It’s similar to the one on the Mini Bravo Plus with an extendable zipper mesh panel. It comes in three panels you can zip out as needed. With the last panel, you get the mesh to serve as ventilation and a peek-a-boo window.

Storage

Next, the stroller offers an innovative basket with two pockets to hold drinks. Mind you, this replaces the parent tray and toddler tray, but they did think of everything. Also, you get a handy zipper pocket and mesh pocket on the back of the stroller too perfect for storing keys, diapers, wipes, and your phone.

Suspension

Another great advantage of a modular stroller is they usually come with a suspension and the Corso stroller is no exception. Chicco calls its suspension FlexCore, and it offers an adjustable rear suspension with larger treaded wheels. However, you don’t get front wheel suspension, though, meaning this isn’t an all-terrain stroller like the jogging strollers.

Chicco Corso LE Modular Stroller

Popularity

The Corso LE Modular Stroller comes with all of the same benefits as the Corso but with a few additions. As expected, the higher-end model comes with a higher price, but this one is most definitely in the affordable range. Sadly, the extended model doesn’t come with a bassinet.

Design

Get real leather accents on the toddler bar and handlebar. The frame is a sleek black, too, with textured fabric on the rest of the stroller. You can also pick between black or a slate blue fabric.

Infant Insert

Another addition to the LE is an infant insert that makes the stroller newborn-ready. Use this for the first few months to make the stroller more comfortable and supportive for infants under forty pounds. This alone is worth the added price, but we will really wish the stroller had a bassinet even if it was a separate purchase.

Tires

While the Corso only comes with EVA foam to reduce the weight, the Corso LE offers rubber tires with a foam core and treading. This means you get better navigating and a smoother drive. Add in the rear suspension for a smoother ride.

Chicco Modular Strollers to Avoid

Chicco Urban 6-in-1 ModularThe Urban has all the right features on paper but unfortunately doesn’t live up to customers’ expectations. It doesn’t have a child tray, it’s heavy, and the wheels don’t work properly. Moreover, it’s bulky and doesn’t collapse with ease either. It does include an infant bassinet, which doesn’t come with any other Chicco model.

Buying Guide for Chicco Strollers

Before making your final decision, take a look at some key information about strollers and Chicco in particular.

Advantages of Chicco Strollers

The absolute best advantage of Chicco Strollers is how easy they are to fold. Second, the vast majority of their strollers can stand after folding on their own. With so many strollers that fall over and take up precious floor space, this is a necessity, not a want.

Another advantage of Chicco strollers is that almost all of them come with a parent storage tray. Many high-end strollers, while absolutely amazing, do not consider adding a storage pocket or cupholder for parents. Instead, they expect you to dole out a handful of tens on top of the hundreds you already spent for something that probably costs them practically nothing to make.

Next, Chicco does a wonderful job adding toddler trays to at least half of their strollers. Mind you, these trays don’t mean your baby won’t throw stuff on the floor where it can then roll down a hill. But they do offer the trays for the great concept of keeping things neat and tidy even if the reality doesn’t hold up.

Other great features of Chicco strollers include the fact that more than half of them work with the Chicco brand car seats. Even better, the strollers all come with padded, adjustable five-point harnesses ready to keep your baby tucked in securely.

Finally, Chicco does amazing on the smaller features like leg rest, adjustable handlebars, cushioned seats, and breathable fabric. They also do a great job with the frames and structure. When you buy Chicco, you definitely get a quality product.

Disadvantages of Chicco Strollers

Chicco brand does come with a few disadvantages. First, only their jogging strollers come with decent suspension. If you want a fabulous stroller ready to go over every bump without waking up your baby, then you want an all-terrain stroller. However, this is a feature most often overlooked by most stroller brands, unless you get a jogging stroller.

Try the Uppababy Vista V2 if you want a non-jogger stroller with incredible suspension. It blows the Chicco strollers out of the water but also costs double the price. Whether it’s worth it is up to you.

Another disadvantage of the brand is only the jogging strollers have peek-a-boo windows. Veteran moms know the drill when the baby is sleeping: if you accidentally make eye contact, they will wake back up completely, and there goes your quiet walk through Target. Peek-a-boo windows should exist on every stroller everywhere without accepting so moms can peek on their precious bundle without waking them up.

Furthermore, Uppababy wins in another category too. Even though Chicco does better than most strollers for sunshade from canopies, The Vista V2 and the Cruz V2 both go farther. Sun, rain, snow, sleet, and even wind can attack your baby when in the stroller. The better the canopy, the better protection your baby gets, and Chicco could definitely improve their canopies.

Lastly, many of the wheels with Chicco strollers tend to cause issues for customers. This tends to be the largest complaint from customers unless they get the jogging strollers. Try to avoid picking a model with EVA foam if you want reliable wheels that don’t squeak or wobble.

Types of Strollers

Are you unsure what type of stroller you need? Take a quick look at the purpose of each to make your decision easier.

Full-Size Strollers

These strollers work from infancy through the toddler years. They are sturdier, often bigger, and more durable. Full-size strollers also come with tons of amenities to make life easier.

However, full-size strollers are often heavy space stealers. Unless you are simply going for a walk on smooth sidewalks, these strollers can be a pain to pull out of the car and fold up and down. People living in apartments probably don’t want a full-size stroller.

Double Strollers

Parents with more than one child need a double stroller to get both kids around at once. However, these strollers are often the heaviest and the bulkiest. Sit and stand options take up less space and move easier but don’t provide as much comfort for the older sibling.

Frame Strollers

A frame stroller’s sole purpose is to turn an infant car seat into a stroller. These options are the lightest and often come with amenities. The downside is once your baby outgrows the infant car seat, you need to go buy a new toddler-friendly stroller.

Jogging Strollers

Jogging strollers use three wheels, and they are very easy to move. Most of them come with superior suspension systems that can go off smooth surfaces and into the wild. Furthermore, they usually come with tons of amenities and work with infant car seats.

However, jogging strollers are heavy, bulky, and a pain to assemble. Only get this option if you like to go off-road or want to walk or jog for exercise with your baby or toddler.

Lightweight Strollers

Lightweight strollers are options weighing under twenty pounds, with some as low as fifteen pounds. Moving these strollers around anywhere is much easier and less strain. However, they often come with much less storage space and fewer amenities too.

Other factors to consider with lightweight strollers is they don’t often work well for newborns, and they do not work for infant car seats either. For babies ages six months and up, they are perfect and make your life easier.

Umbrella strollers are also considered lightweight strollers.

Modular Strollers

Modular strollers are the newest, sleekest strollers that fuse all the features of traditional strollers with new features. Mainly, you get a stroller with more options as you can change the direction of the seats to face inward or outward. It’s a great option for parents with a higher budget who expect more from a stroller.

Yes, they offer the Liteway but it’s not a fabulous option. We recommend looking at other options instead of the Liteway stroller.
